I'm not gonna write you a blog post, because you asked for one, because you need one, you see...
I was working on the send half of my post on interpersonal honesty and the gates of truth when I realized there are three kind of people who would be reading it: 1) people who in no way, shape, or form believe what I'm saying, 2) people who may be open to the idea, but it makes no sense, and 3) people who already get it and I'm preaching to the choir. So, I decided we're all just as well off if I skip it.
Instead, let me offer a review of two alcoholic beverages. The first is a pineapple upside-down cake shot. Pineapple juice, vanilla vodka, and grenadine combine to taste nothing like alcohol and very confusingly much like cake - liquid cake... a quick drink of cold liquid cake. Equal parts delicious and disturbing. 9/10 (8/10 but the girl who made it for me was really cute and the drink was free).
Smirnoff vodka mojito (premixed). This is a big ol' 750ml bottle of vodka mojito that all you have to do is pour over ice or shake with ice. "Dude, mojitos are made with rum, you hack." I know that, and so does smirnoff, but what's the difference? I'll tell you, you taste mostly the lime and a little bit of mint, and while the drink has a slight alcohol kick, there's very little alcohol flavor. You can't say that about a rum mojito. It's maybe a little sweet and the mint is a little understated, but having a premixed 30 proof bottle of mojito is a real positive offset. And mojitos have become unreasonably popular lately, and go well with spicy foods, so if you're a poser or enjoy mexican food, this is an easy and fairly tasty way to go. 7/10.

I see this as a good addendum to your last post. After all:
